Wolfdog Rescue is run on an entirely voluntary basis by a small, dedicated group of wolfdog owners. We take no salary for our work and the time committed for the dogs we help is done around our normal daily work and family commitments. We rely entirely on the generosity of the public and are grateful for all donations, no matter how small. The funds help go towards transportation around the country, vets fees, food & other basic costs.
To the best of our ability we will help any wolfdogs that find themselves in difficult circumstances. We arrange transport, foster homes and forever homes and ensure that care is taken to ensure that there is a good match between the dog, its new owner and the new home environment in which it will be living.
As much as we would love to help all dogs we are only a small rescue dedicated to specifically helping wolfdogs – as in the wolfdog breeds such as the Czechoslovakian wolfdog or Saarloos wolfdog. We do not have the facilities to care for “wolf lookalike” breeds such as a Northern Inuit, Utonagan or Tamaskan.
